Lis Birks was in an independent act called The Cameleonz that had a mid week top 20 in 2009 selling over 10,000 copies of their debut single in its first week of sales.
The music video was nominated for The Lime-Light Film and Arts Awards for best music video and was shows on MTV, The Box, Fizz, Virgin and VH1 Requests.
In 2013 Lis was given the opportunity to become one half of platinum selling 90s act Cappella and continues to perform as part of the show all over Europe, performing in sold out arenas and open air festivals, including performances at prestigious venues like the Mad Club Switzerland and The Hard Rock Café Ibiza, performing to crowds over 40,000 people.
In 2014 Lis started her own independent vocal harmony girl group called The CherryBomb Girls.They officially supported Lawson and gigged along side Lemar, Stooshe, Lydia Lucy and Louisa Johnson, performing on shows like the Knip Fest, Sunshine Festival, Shard Fest, Soccer Six, Winter Wonderland - Manchester Events City Arena and Hyde park London.CherryBomb Girls had over 200,000 hits across their YouTube platform and made it through to Boot-Camp on the X Factor 2016.
Lis has recently featured on an independent album called Little Ghost Full Of Songs by Rob Wheeler who is a singer song writer signed to Bucks Music Group.This is a limited edition album that will be released on vinyl later this year. Lis is now part of a new project called Elisir the Italian word for Elixir (Magic Potion).This is a new exciting project. Taking influence from 90s and 00s dance combined with Electro Pop and Modern Day EDM.Elisir is a collective of DJ’s, Artistes, Writers, and Producer’s with Lis fronting the project.They are currently working on an EP to create something new and plan to release a debut single in 2017.
